Selected Poems by Jonathan Goodman with Images by Harold Wortsman
Jonathan Goodman was born in New York City. He studied at the College, Columbia University, where he did a double concentration in English and German. He later received a master's degree in medieval literature from the University of Pennsylvania. It was in Philadelphia, where he lived for five years, that he began writing about art.
Goodman then returned to New York where he worked in publishing. For over 20 years, he taught contemporary art history and art theory to undergraduates at Pratt Institute. He now fully devotes his time to poetry and art writing. He has published reviews and articles for The Brooklyn Rail, WhiteHot, Sculpture Magazine, Tussle, and Art in America.
Harold Wortsman is a sculptor and printmaker based in Brooklyn, New York. His work, an edgy mix of freedom and clarity, can be found in public and private collections in the United States and Europe as well as such American institutions as The Library of Congress, Yale University, The New York Public Library Print Collection, The New York Historical Society, Smith College, Indiana University’s Lilly Library, Brandeis University, The Newark Public Library Special Collections Division, and the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum Print Archive.
